Lab Overview

We are a synthetic medicinal chemistry research group at College of Pharmacy, Kangwon National University in Chuncheon. (PI Jae Hyun Kim, jh.kim@kangwon.ac.kr, https://sites.google.com/view/jhkimlab) Graduate students having interest in organic chemistry are encouraged to join our group. Please feel free to contact. Natural products provides privileged skeleton and inspirations in drug design because they play important roles in biological systems. We focus on developing powerful & operationally simple synthetic methods that could lead us to those privileged skeleton of natural products as well as biologically relevant structures. We expand the utility of the developed synthetic method by applying them in total synthesis of natural products and constructing chemical library for discovery of new drug candidates.
